Useful information from USA embassy about visas

The U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat is pleased to inform that it resumed processing applications for all immigrant and K visa categories starting July 1, 2021. However, the number of applications we are able to process each week is very limited as we continue to implement precautions to protect the health and safety of all Embassy employees, as well as those we serve. If you are the beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition waiting for your visa interview, the Consular Section will contact you with the date of your interview and any further steps.

Also there is limited appointment availability for nonimmigrant student and employment visas. To schedule an interview appointment for a student, exchange, or petition-based employment nonimmigrant visa, you can send an email to ConsularAshgab@state.gov

Please note:  The U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat has not resumed interviews for B1/B2 (tourist/business) visa applications. They will resume services for tourist visas as soon as possible, but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. For updated information about U.S. entry requirements, please check the following website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/covid-19-travel-restrictions-and-exceptions.html
